I am an intrepid traveller having visited over seventy five countries and keen to add more to the list.
In retirement I have revisited scores of old hand-written journals and started turning this raw material into what I believe to be a series of entertaining, humorous and thought-provoking travel books, in a Brysonesque style.
My first two books are rugby orientated. Firstly I travelled to Australia (via India and Singapore) and followed the 2001 British and Irish Lions all around the island continent for three months.
In 2017 I took a close look at a young England XV when they toured Argentina and took the opportunity to visit a number of other Latin American countries.
Then, switching continents, I went to Japan to follow England (with a few of these younger players now in the starting team) to see how they fared in the Rugby World Cup of 2019.
My next two novels are based on my budget travels through South East Asia, via boats, trains and buses to explore the many cultures, historical royalties and simply every day life.
